Normally it is when the pressure is on and you have a speaking engagement or your boss has asked you to present to the team, you start looking on Google for tips not to totally embarrass yourself. The problem is most the information online is either selling an offline program, which can cost a lot of money, or you end up looking at lame e books and videos that may not be any good. Of course there is always the FREE stuff and that is helpful to a point, but just how many top ten tips can there be?
Now I know it’s tough to get the right information and I will tell you why...
I have been a highly experienced and practiced public speaker for 21 years. I have worked with some of the top organizations in my country Australia, coaching and helping people become top performers in their field with Public Speaking. So believe me I know what I am talking about and have tonnes of proof. Many people have told me that I have helped them transform their life and gotten rid of their Public Speaking FEAR altogether. Wow that is certainly a humbling privilege that I don’t take lightly.
So I got to thinking why don’t I develop an online course that helps people to speak like a pro?
Problem is I am so busy speaking to audiences and training people myself, which I love, I literally don’t have the time to create one. At least not one that I would endorse with the high standards and proven techniques that I know really work.
As I have discovered, all Public Speaking Courses are not created equal and if you don’t know what to look for you can end up with useless information.
Obviously I am not in the position currently to teach the whole world everything I know, so what I have done is the next best thing. I have hunted down the best information online and I have put it in one place that you can easily find it. Instead of wasting a lot of time and money on people who are just regurgitating the same old stuff in a slick cover, just look at the stuff I recommend.
You see what I know is that there is plenty of information on the Internet but information alone doesn’t make you a top Public Speaker. Information is helpful don’t get me wrong, but it’s transformation most people need.

It always amazes me how something so simple ie. speaking from the heart can be the biggest blockage some people have. Just being themselves and acting natural can be really difficult for some when they are in front of an audience. One quick tip to deliver a more heartfelt message is to always find something about the subject you can personally connect to. The biggest mistake is to think your presentation, speech or information is boring. The only thing that is boring is the person speaking if they have convinced themselves that it is boring. Find something bigger than the subject itself to help get your passion out is the key. For example, if you desire to see people grow, or to make people's job less stressful by the information you are delivering focus on that not, on how boring you think it may be.
When people speak they project their internal reality on the outside world so we need to remember to have a positive mindset.
